Going to Yellowstone National Park

I homeschool my children, and part of the fun of that is actually exploring the world instead of sitting in a classroom just reading about it. For one class last year, we all decided that we would go to Yellowstone National Park. The kids had just learned about Old Faithful and had seen pictures, and they were anxious to see it in person. I decided to look up Cody Wyoming hotels online to see if I would be able to find a good deal on a room for the four of us, and i found just that.

There is a hotel there called Moose Creek Lodge and Suites, and they had a room that has three queen size beds in it. I knew that the girls would have shared a bed, but this was even better. My husband and I would take one, and each girl could have her own bed. Even though they are still in the same room, it gave each of them a certain amount of privacy that I knew was appreciated. It helped that there were lots of things to do at the main property which was just a minute’s walk away.

We decided that we would stay there for six days. We would spend a couple of days at the park, and then we would explore a few other things in the area. There was a pool and fitness room at the main building’s location, and we agreed that it would be fun to just be lazy by the pool for a day as well. We were able to look at pictures online of the lodge and read about attractions in the area, and it just seemed the perfect place for the four of us to learn a bit more about our world and have fun as a family as well.
