The 2nd/14th Light Horse Regiment (Queensland Mounted Infantry) Museum is located in the suburb of Enoggera at Gallipoli Barracks- a working Army barracks. Displays in the Light Horse museum building range from 1860-1942, covering colonial times, the Boer War, WW1 and militia Light Horse days.
The Black Hat building showcases Royal Australian Armoured Corps (RAAC) history from 1941-present. It also includes the shop where Regimental related items are available for purchase.
Uniforms, medals, equipment, banners, original battlefield artefacts, photos and memorabilia are displayed, as is the Queen South Africa medal awarded to the first Australian soldier killed in action, PTE. V.S. Jones. Items from deployments to East Timor, Iraq and Afghanistan are also held in the collection.
